Daylesford Mini Break

Just arrived home from a blissful three-day mini break to Daylesford, one of my absolute favourite places in Victoria.  With the weather looking a bit iffy as we were leaving, we packed games and books and movies, my current crochet project and some lovely treaty foods and off we headed to a little miner's cottage in the bush, which had a very generous helping of rusty corrugated iron!

Didn't really need to venture out as it was so comfy and cozy at Cabrito cottage, but we did pay a visit to the beautiful Lavandula, a lavender farm just outside Daylesford, in Hepburn Springs.  The harvesting of the lavender had begun, and it was beautiful.

Such glorious colour and so many photographic opportunities, including this strategically placed bicycle.

Always wonderful to come home too.

  1. Ooh! We love Daylesfrd too - especially the lake and the pine forest. But we've not been to the lavender farm - looks gorgeous - very French. Glad you had a lovely break.

  2. Hello, thanks for stopping by my blog. I bet the lavender farm smelled gorgeous. Your crochet scarf and quilt are beautiful. I have a button collection in jars like yours. They are so lovely and tactile aren't they!
